Day 1: Johannesburg, City Lodge Hotel

Arrive at Johannesburg Airport under your own arrangements.

We will met you at the Airport and walk you to the Hotel, where you will spend the night.

Accommodation: City Lodge Hotel

 

Day 2-3: Kruger National Park, Berg-en-dal rest camp

At 09.00 hrs the next morning we will drive towards Kruger NP, where you will spend 2 nights at the self-catering Berg-en-dal rest camp situated inside the Kruger National Park.

If you prefer us to cook we will gladly do so.

We will make a stop in Nelspruit where we will buy all the food we need for our five day stay.

The journey is approx. 5.30 hours and 421 km.

 

Day 4-6: Kruger National Park, Olifants rest camp

On day 4 we will drive further up north to the self-catering Olifants rest camp, where you will spend 3 nights.

Olifants rest camp is situated on top of a hill, which tower several hundred feet over the Olifants River. Here you also find a restaurant with spectacular views over the river and the beautiful surroundings.

We will go on two game drives a day; early morning and afternoon, in our own rented vehicle. 

 

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast we will drive back to Johannesburg Airport where you will catch your international flight back home.

The journey is approx. 8 hours and 523 km

 

 

Since the self-catering accommodation inside the Park is very popular, it is advisable to book at least 6 months ahead.

If you would like to stay in touch with friends and 

family it is far cheaper to buy a SIM-card in South

Africa and use that during your vacation.

SIM-cards can be bought at the Vodacom shop at

HEALTH:

The malaria risk in Kruger is very low during the  

dry season (May-Sept)

Many people decide not to take prophylactics and 

rather try avoid getting bitten by using insect    

repellents at dusk and dawn.

Please notice that most type of mosquito in the 

Kruger do not carry the malaria plasmodium and if

one is bitten it does not mean one will contract malaria.
